PLURIDIOMA is a company founded in August 1993, aiming the upcoming of private TV networks and the prospects of a new and enlarged market in the area of translation and subtitling. Therefore, our company began its path on the market, first signing a contract with SIC TV Network (which still stands), following a co-operation in the area of video post-production with the extinct EDIVIDEO and also with DELUXE VIDEO SERVICES (former CCI).

Initially beginning its activity with subtitling equipments PU2020, over the years more modern and up-to-date systems have been added.We have acquired and installed POLISCRIPT subtitle preparation programs from Screen Subtitling Systems, associated to the state of the art character generator G-3, as well as the means for editing (Rack with Sony Digital BTC’s and monitors), which were needed for video and DVD post-production. Besides, PLURIDIOMA provides translation and subtitling for the most important film distributor in Portugal (LUSOMUNDO), authoring a significant part of major production motion pictures subtitling issued in our country.

In fact, PLURIDIOMA is the only translation and subtitling company in Portugal involved simultaneously in the 3 biggest audiovisual areas: Television, motion pictures and video/DVD.
Thus we own a portfolio of more than 2.500 film titles already subtitled, as well as dozens of TV series. This portfolio goes from classics like “All About Eve”, “The Bible”, “Empire Of The Senses”, “Splendor In The Grass”, “A Streetcar Called Desire”, “Out Of Africa”, “The Godfather”, “Apocalypse Now” and “Titanic”, up to the most modern titles being now issued in theaters.

But the technical translations were not forgotten. The number of satisfied clients rises constantly. PLURIDIOMA set its goal on quality and efficiency and will continue to do so.

Presently, PLURIDIOMA counts on the co-operation of a great number of translators each of them a specialist in subtitling TV, video programs and films and technical translations.

PLURIDIOMA shall not stop growing and keeping up to its reputation earned in the course of its long activity during which it deserved and will continue to deserve the trust of its clients both domestic and abroad.
